The School Field Trip

Read and practice vocabulary with this graded reading passage

Reading

Every year, our school organizes a field trip for students. This year, we visited the Science Museum in the city.

We left school at 9 a.m. by bus. The journey took about an hour. Our teacher, Mrs. Park, gave us worksheets to complete during the visit.

The museum was huge! There were exhibitions about space, dinosaurs, and the human body. My favourite part was the interactive zone where you could do science experiments.

I learned how electricity works by building a simple circuit. My friend Jake tried the flight simulator and said it felt like really flying!

We had lunch in the museum café. I had a sandwich and juice. After lunch, we watched a short film about the solar system in the planetarium.

On the bus home, everyone was tired but happy. “That was the best school trip ever!” my classmate Sophie said. I agreed — it was an amazing day of learning and fun.
