A Weekend Trip to the Beach

Reading
Last weekend, my family and I decided to go to the beach. We packed our bags on Friday evening and left early Saturday morning. The drive took about two hours.
When we arrived, the weather was perfect — sunny and warm. The children immediately ran to the water. My wife and I set up our chairs and umbrella on the sand.
We spent the whole day swimming, building sand castles, and eating ice cream. For lunch, we had fish and chips at a small restaurant near the shore.
In the afternoon, we walked along the beach and collected beautiful shells. The sunset was absolutely amazing — the sky turned orange and pink.
“Can we come back next weekend?” my daughter asked.
“We’ll see,” I said, but I was already planning our next visit.
